George Floyd: What sparked the americans ?

 What sparked the Americans??
George Floyd

It was on May 25, 2020, George Floyd, an African American, was killed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States of America. George Floyd was arrest on the context of using a 20 dollar counterfeit note and it was due to the use of strong force by the police on him during the arrest that has led to his death.

The store where he used this bill was Two Cup Foods. The store employee believed the note to be counterfeit and asked George Floyd to return the cigarette package that was bought using this bill, but he[George Floyd] denied to return it and this led the store employee to call the police on him. As the police arrived they asked him to get off his vehicle and arrested and handcuffed him. It is believed that George Floyd resisted and the police had to push him to the ground to control him.....but the people around have claimed that there was no resistance by him. when George was pushed to the ground one of the police officers had his knee pressing on the side of his neck making it difficult for George Floyd to breathe and later leading to death due to asphyxiation.

The death of George Floyd due to inappropriate treatment of the police caused the public to raise questions regarding the unfair treatment of police towards black people. The amount of physical power used by the police on black people is said to be  more than that used on the white. This unfair treatment led to rage in the people's hearts and causing protests across the US with the slogan 'Black lives matter'. The protest has reached to such a great extent that the police have had to use protest gears such as tear gas, flash bombs, and the use of rubber bullets against the people who have taken part in the protest.
